Stuyvesant Cove Park
Stuyvesant Cove Park was a photographic series by Ashia Hill that unfolded along the waterside path in the heart of Gramercy Park. Created over the course of several days, the work traced subtle shifts in light, movement, and atmosphere, allowing time itself to become an active presence within the images. Rather than capturing a single moment, the series built a quiet narrative through repetition and return.
Approaching the park with sustained attention, Hill sought to deconstruct the setting and reveal its layered character. The work examined the physical attributes of the space, its textures, edges, and rhythms, while also suggesting the unspoken stories embedded within them.
